The Elevate Team

Our instructors are qualified and fully trained to help you reach your potential.

Maria Mullen

owner & founder

Elevate’s founder Maria Mullen trained at the YTTC in Lisburn with Paddy Hamill in Yoga Teacher Training for her Level 1 and Level 2 certification.

Maria had come across information on antigravity yoga and it’s benefits, allowing you to progress and improve your strength while decompressing the spine, meaning you wouldn’t risk the same injuries you would trying to progress in standard yoga classes, and thus her aerial adventure began.

Maria’s passion is learning about the health and body benefits of training and believes that people should have alternatives to the gym, which can be daunting for some and turn them off training altogether. Constantly striving to improve, she recently spent her summer in India with fellow teachers Roisin Matt, Aine O’Kane and Samantha Fagan training in ashtanga yoga.

Sharon Byrne

SB Pilates

Sharon Byrne is a qualified Comprehensive BASI Pilates Instructor. Having practiced Pilates for 7 years she went on to complete her BASI training in March 2020.

Sharon love to teach Pilates, in particular she enjoys the benefits it brings to people of all ages and from all walks of life; giving them better posture, more body awareness and ease of movement. She wants to encourage others to feel confident and to try new things and challenge themselves to achieve their personal goals.

Sharon designed her classes to restore your body’s alignment and build a stronger, healthier body that not only looks great but also moves more effortlessly.

Aine O'Kane

Yoga & Aerials

Aine O’Kane started her aerial adventure 3 years ago, when she was just 24 years old. Her first experience with aerial hoops was terrifying. Aine, who was deathly afraid of heights, bravely persevered and continued to show up every week in hopes of lessening her fears.

Dedicating herself to weekly training in Aerial hoop, Antigravity yoga and Aerial Silks she then expanded her practice into ashtanga yoga every morning to improve her flexibility and focus.

Having thrived at the Elevate studio Aine wanted to explore teaching options. Joining Maria in 2019 to study teaching practices in India, Aine continues to expand her teaching experience across several apparatus in Elevate.

Hana Mooney

kids Gymnastics

Hana has practiced gymnastics since she was 8 years old and competed competitively in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics throughout the years. Having first coached with The Little Gym franchise when she was 16, she has enjoyed working in a variety of different roles teaching gymnastics, lyrical and acro.

Hana has her Gymstart Level 1 & Special Needs Assistant Level 5 certification.

Hana’s Elevate journey began after attending an aerial hoops class last summer and since then she has had so much fun learning new skills which she can incorporate her gymnastics background into it.
